“they are cut out of red acitate, and the frame is vacuformed out of polystyrene .”

What is acitate? Is it like Plexiglas. And what you mean that the frames are made out of polystyrene and are vacuformed?

acetate is like the "blister pack" plastic packaging that some items come in from the store. you can make it red with window film from walmart. I suggest you google Vacuforming, I am not an expert at it so explaining it properly is not a good idea.

aside from having access to military arms/equipment (it appears to be), how did you obtain the gear for HUNK? from where was it obtained?

very excellent photo, as well!

A lot of the gear is pieced together from different gear, like the LBV is made from a mil-spec LBV ment for airsoft, with pouches from an airsoft site sewn on the front. this costume was really fun to make because I just studied pictures trying to figure out what would work best.my best advice is to search ebay.

would you mind distributing the method(s) employed to make the lenses? I've got the tinting material, but I would prefer to NOT put them on the original lens, stuck with that for a semi-permanent time

Do you have access to a vacuform machine? you need a way to make rings to hold the lenses in place on the mask.

nevermind, I found a way around all that! made the rings, sprayed them, and they work just fine! Have a look: [link]

thank you very much! after the past month, i have attained everything save the S10 resp. and gloves. Expect to see images in the coming weeks
however, i don't think they will be up to the degree of awesomeness in which your outfit currently, comfortably, resides.

Did you make them? If so can I buy a pair?

If you wanted one, I could sell them complete with gasmask, however it may be cheaper if you make it yourself.

I got a SAS mask, what's your price? I don't have any of the equipment or materials or the knowhow.
